NBA, Shuttle Launch

The Lakers are poised to win another championship. Kobe is doing it. The Spurs look old. The Celtics and Pistons are one year away from looking old. When are the Celtics going to get Ray Allen involved?? It's looking like the Sonics stole a number one pick, and a point guard (whom they traded to Clev.) away from the Celtics. There will be a shuttle launch Sat from the Cape. Me and the fam are going to Titusville to see it up close. You all be easy...Holla back

Kobe is the Man

Did you see his 49-10 dime game vs. the No D in Enver Nuggets?? You have to check his "crossover, pull back, between the leg crossover, drive the lane, AND ONE layup" on Najero. It is raw. Kobe is the best player in the league and has been for the past 4 years!!! Check it out at http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=280423013

Well, the Sixers are tied

Hey cyberspace. My 76ers are tied with Detroit 1-1 in the best of seven NBA Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Maybe we can win one more game. The Flyers just pulled out a Game 7 OT win vs. Washington. I thought we were going to blow a 3-1 series lead.  Well Philly is trying to do the daggone thing. The Roots LP - Rising Down is out in a week, the Eagles should have a good draft on Saturday (Get help for McNabb!!!), the 76ers have given us B-Ball at the end of April, and the slow starting Phillies are in the 9th vs. the Brewers down by a run. As I write this, I am listening to the Young Chris/Mick Boogie "New Print" mixtape. As my kids down here in Orlando say, "Philly is On DECK!" Catch yall on the flip...Be Easy.

Spring in the Air

What's good cyberspace.  The NCAA Tourney taught us a couple of things: 1.) Small school guards can make a big difference (See Davidson) and 2.) Freshmen are still freshmen (See Love, Rose, Mayo, Beasley, etc.) and might freeze up in bug spots.  Congrats to Kansas on winning and keeping their coach for a few more years.  I can't wait for the NBA Draft, but we have the NBA Playoffs quickly approaching.  This is the last week of the regular season, with most teams having 2 games left.  My Sixers should win a couple of games.  I can't wait for the West to play though.  Who will carry their team to the Finals? Shaq/Nash/Stoudamire? Kobe/Gasol/Bynum? Paul/West/Peja?  Who knows?  I'll just enjoy.  P.S. Catch some of the NHL playoffs, is you can find it on TV.  It looks ill in HD!!  I put some clips on for the non-fans.  G.Barkley Album is redic!  Holla @ the daddy!

April Fool's Day

What up cyberspace!  I heard the illest April Fool's Day prank on the "Tom Joyner Morning Show."  Tom said that bootleg mp3s and movies were causing IPods to crash and to save them the owner had to delete them.  Tell let the prank ride until 9:51AM EST.  Imagine all the people out there that had begun deleting files!!  Well, the Final Four is set.  Memphis or UNC will take the crown.  Rose has to be the illest point in America, and Psycho T has to be the illest big man.  The NBA playoffs are approaching.  Who will be left out in the West??  ESPN thinks GS.  I hope not.  They gave the playoffs life last year.  On the music side...take a look at the link.  DJ Soul has an ill mixtape for download.  It contains the new music from Nas, The Roots, Outkast, MOP and other real musicians.  Holla at your boy youngins  - I am out!

My Birthday Fool

28 years ago I was born in a West Philadelphia hospital that has since closed down. I had a great birthday; just "hung out" with the baby and wife, when out to eat and ended the night at a cool coffee house in Orlando called the Drunken Monkey. If you are in Orlando, this is a great spot to hang. They have free Wi-Fi, Lost and Survivor parties, board games to play (I killed my wife in Scrabble), and just a cool vibe. Great sports day for the Philadelphia fan - Temple and St Joe's might get in the Tourney, 'Nova might, but the NIT might be the logical place, and the Sixers put it on the Spurs. If we get to the 6th seed, we'll give Orlando fits!! Just heard the new Roots single "Rising Down" ft. Mos Def, Styles P and Dice on the hook - check OkayPlayer. It is raw. This album is going to be hot. Watch the Rockets try to continue the streak and shoot for 1st in West vs. Kobe and Lake Show. In the beginning of the season, I thought the NBA was wack. I was wrong, it is really RAW now!! Well, I'll catch yall on the flip side!

New Albums - Good Music

As we approach springtime, the music is just getting better.  I am looking forward to the Roots down here in Orlando this Friday,  Lupe, Kanye and Pharell will be rocking Tampa in May, and there will be new Roots and Gnarls Barkley albums in April.  Hip-Hop is not dead, just reinventing itself.  If you want a sneak listen to Gnarls Barkley, check out this link and watch Questlove do his best Cee-Lo impression.   All this going on and my 76ers are going to make the NBA playoffs.  Holla Back!
