My Birthday Fool

28 years ago I was born in a West Philadelphia hospital that has since closed down. I had a great birthday; just "hung out" with the baby and wife, when out to eat and ended the night at a cool coffee house in Orlando called the Drunken Monkey. If you are in Orlando, this is a great spot to hang. They have free Wi-Fi, Lost and Survivor parties, board games to play (I killed my wife in Scrabble), and just a cool vibe. Great sports day for the Philadelphia fan - Temple and St Joe's might get in the Tourney, 'Nova might, but the NIT might be the logical place, and the Sixers put it on the Spurs. If we get to the 6th seed, we'll give Orlando fits!! Just heard the new Roots single "Rising Down" ft. Mos Def, Styles P and Dice on the hook - check OkayPlayer. It is raw. This album is going to be hot. Watch the Rockets try to continue the streak and shoot for 1st in West vs. Kobe and Lake Show. In the beginning of the season, I thought the NBA was wack. I was wrong, it is really RAW now!! Well, I'll catch yall on the flip side!

New Albums - Good Music

As we approach springtime, the music is just getting better.  I am looking forward to the Roots down here in Orlando this Friday,  Lupe, Kanye and Pharell will be rocking Tampa in May, and there will be new Roots and Gnarls Barkley albums in April.  Hip-Hop is not dead, just reinventing itself.  If you want a sneak listen to Gnarls Barkley, check out this link and watch Questlove do his best Cee-Lo impression.   All this going on and my 76ers are going to make the NBA playoffs.  Holla Back!
